POWER-CO COMPANY Return & Refund Policy

At POWER-CO COMPANY, we are committed to providing high-quality solar and backup power solutions backed by trusted warranties. To maintain the validity of your warranty, all products must be installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the terms outlined below.

We maintain a strict return policy to ensure product safety, compliance, and quality control for all solar and backup-power equipment. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns may be accepted. By purchasing from POWER-CO COMPANY, you agree to the terms below.

1. General Return Conditions

  • Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Products must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging.
  • All serial numbers must match our sales records.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all return requests.
  • All returned items are subject to technical inspection before approval.
  • Installed, used, damaged, or tampered products are not eligible for return, except where required under applicable South African consumer protection law.

2. Inspection & Warranty Seals

  • Returns will be rejected if the product shows signs of installation, use, tampering, or modification.
  • Warranty seals, serial labels, and manufacturer packaging must be intact.
  • Any broken seals or missing identifiers will void return eligibility.

3. Exchanges (Where Applicable)

  • Exchanges may be approved for unopened products returned within 7 days of delivery.
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
  • Any price difference and all courier costs are the responsibility of the customer.

4. Return Handling & Processing

  • All returned items undergo inspection by our technical team.
  • Inspection outcomes determine whether a return is approved, declined, or redirected to warranty assessment.
  • Processing times may vary depending on product type and supplier requirements.

5. Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for all return courier costs for change-of-mind returns.
  • If POWER-CO COMPANY arranges collection, courier charges must be paid before collection.
  • Returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until received and signed for by POWER-CO COMPANY.
  • POWER-CO COMPANY is not liable for loss or damage occurring during return transit. Customers are advised to use insured courier services.

6. Damaged or Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) Items

  • Damaged or dead-on-arrival items must be reported within 7 working days of delivery.
  • Photographic evidence and serial numbers are required.
  • Approved DOA items may be repaired or replaced following supplier assessment.

7. Warranty Assessment Returns

  • Warranty assessment may take 7–30 working days, depending on the manufacturer or supplier.
  • No temporary replacement units are provided during the assessment period.

8. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, unless faulty on arrival or required by law:

  • Installed products
  • Products with physical damage, scratches, or electrical marks
  • Consumables including trunking, conduits, adapters, couplings, tubing, cut-to-length cables, and mounting consumables

How to Request a Return

To initiate a return request, please email sales@power-cocompany.com with the following information:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Product serial number
  • Photos (required for damaged or DOA items)

Important: Return approval must be received in writing before any product is sent back to POWER-CO COMPANY.
